The rumors are true! Lonestar has just announced that they will be releasing their first studio album in four years this April! The band has also announced that they will go on tour sometime this spring, though no tour dates have been announced so Lonestar tickets are still unavailable.
The bands 10th album, dubbed “Party Heard Round The World,” will be released on April 27 from Saguaro Road Records.
“We feel that this album is a complete reflection of the group, circa 2010. It’s personal and powerful music that reflects the core values of Lonestar through lyrics, performance and production,” Guitarist Michael Britt told cmt.ca.
“Party Heard Round The World” is the first album from the band since former lead singer Richie McDonald left in 2007. The new lead singer is Cody Collins.

Lonestar seems to be doing well this year after last November’s loss of their lead singer. Cody Collins, who was raised just outside of Pensacola, Florida, follows in the footsteps of Richie McDonald and John Rich. Strangely enough, the Lonestar’s keyboardist, Dean Sams, found Collins performing at a bar in Atlanta called Cowboys.
“With the addition of Cody, we all have a new energy and excitement that’s making our live shows really rock and our new recordings just jump out of the speakers,” says Sams. Michael Britt agrees, “We are having a blast playing together and the music is better than ever.”
